ABOUT
I'm Milad Ebrahimi, 22 years old from Afghanistan. I've been on the island of Lesvos and in Camp Moria for about one year and a half. From the first day of my stay in the camp I faced disgraceful and inhumane conditions and situations full of indignity. To be honest, I was really shocked and disappointed by Europe but I couldn't accept it like everyone else inside the camp. I couldn't accept that this is the reality of Europe which can’t be changed. So, I started reporting about the situation of refugees in hope to raise awareness and the attention of the European people to bring change. This goal is the most persistent one that I've ever made in my life.
After I found my reasons to report, I was introduced TO reFOCUS Media Labs, the most exciting, chilling and great place to learn about cinematography and photography which is really important for a citizen journalist. Douglas Herman and Sonia Nandzik are the founders of reFOCUS and the most beautiful souls in the world, they helped me thousands of times in reporting, they were the bridge between my reports and the European media. Without them none of my reports would have reached the eyes and ears of European people.
