ReFOCUS is dedicated to creating a global network of media labs to equip asylum seekers and recognized refugees with modern media creation skills. We provide a platform to showcase original work, share their stories, and pursue professional careers.

ReFOCUS Media Labs fights to change the reality of refugees and asulym seekers in Europe by training them through photography, audio and video production, graphic design, media editing and computer classes.

We empower people to tell their own stories, develop professional media skills and pursue employment.

OUR MOVITATION

TENS OF THOUSANDS OF TEENAGE AND YOUNG ADULT asylum seekers CONTINUE TO FLEE WAR, PERSECUTION OR EXTREME POVERTY. CRUCIAL YEARS OF EDUCATION are lost while LINGERING IN REFUGEE CAMPS WAITing FOR ASYLUM, and in turn dreams and aspirations are compromised.

graphic design, podcasting, media editing and computer classes. 

where our political leaders and systems fall short of implementing international laws, we as citizens and artists can have an immediate impact on real lives by providing real skills that ensure real futures.

CREATING A GLOBAL NETWORK

ReFOCUS has built a strong network of international and established media creators, and our students are able to tap into a
large pool of expertise and resources, fostering the possibility of other types of collaborations as well as support systems.

Time and time again, our alumni say that what they miss most is the family we've created, and the extended support network of
artists and teachers has shown that our larger vision of a global network is possible.

From arrival in Greece to final settlement in Central Europe, our students can stay in the family and network we continue to develop.

REFOCUS MEDIA LABS HAS BEEN COLLABORATING WITH ORGANIZATIONS FROM AROUND THE WORLD SINCE THE BEGINNING, and we’ve BEEN PRIVILEGED TO PARTNER WITH SCORES OF MAJOR MEDIA NETWORKS IN REPORTAGE FROM WITHIN THE HUMANITARIAN CRISIS ZONE.
