ReFOCUS brought ART UNDER PRESSURE and our "STORIES THAT MATTER” series to the annual MOVIES THAT MATTER film festival.

The retrospective chronicled a near decade of art, reportage, original films and advocacy work from members of our community.

We're excited to return in 2026 for another installment of the best film festivals in the world.

REVOLUTION ME FILM FESTIVAL in INDUSTRY CITY, Brooklyn (Nov 2024) was the scene for a special weekend of Art Under Pressure Films and Photography, along with talks with our filmmakers.
In solidarity with a host of UK-based refugee support orgs, including Pollination UK, Conversations Over Borders, Voices Radio, Safe Passage UK, and King's House, ReFOCUS hosted an amazing day of talks, films and showcased the work of our community (June 2024).
STARTING POINT, a massive art show at ATELIER GARDENS in the historic German cinema studio BUFA (March 2024), helped us plant the ReFOCUS flag in Berlin, and lay the ground work for our 4th media lab to open in the fall.

Our partners von Hier an Weiter, helped us host a truly fantastic evening of films, talks, live performances, photography, design and amazing DJs.
We took advantage of amazing weather in central Valencia (Jan 2024), with the whole Art Under Pressure showcase on display over a long weekend of live music, films, photography, design, and of course community Paella!
A lively evening of film, photography and world class DJs was hosted by BLOK BAR in downtown Lucerne (Dec 2023), bringing the world of our community to Switzerland for the first of many events.
Our inaugural festival, May 2023, was hosted at the famous ROMANTSO in the Greek capital Athens.

Scores of live performances and DJ sets complimented a massive showcase of photography, design. music video, films and reportage over a 3-day weekend.

Hundreds of artists from around the world, all part of the ReFOCUS collective, had their work on display.
