HOME:
A PHOTO
SERIES

I arrived in Berlin in 2022 as a minor refugee, I changed 4 houses and 4 neighbourhoods, I travelled back to the old places to document and present my project.

Sun beam?
It looks like a dream

This is my first house in
Berlin. I arrived when I was
17.

It was a studio flat, and also
my first time living alone. I
started to learn cooking, and
was trying to learn German on
my own.

Sunbeams were my alarm, they
always woke me up, and then I
would go to this park and jog
almost daily. I like the
calmness and the vibes of
that park.

They said it was time
I was only getting a dime

The staff came to me and said you have an interview and you must move to another place.

I had been waiting for this interview for a month and couple of weeks, so I was happy. I attended the interview and I was so happy because I was allowed to stay in Berlin.

After the interview I had to wait for someone to take me to the new place. I waited for several hours until the person arrived. He took me, and it was about one hour away. I ended up living near Berlin Olympic stadium.

I was enjoying being near the nature and green
Although I was not able to cook for myself and have my own room

Do you see the dome?
This is now home

Grunewald was 20 minutes from the house. It is the place where I was spending my time. New Experiences since I come from a hot land.

Will I keep living lonely?
Or this is my thought only?

It is going to be always in my memory.

After a while my social worker told me that I would be meeting someone from an office called Jugendamt. I started to ask him: what do they do?

He explained to me that I am going to move to an apartment and would have a new social worker who would spend more time with me.

That made me really happy, and I was looking forward to moving.

I moved on the 15.07.2022.
On the first day I slept in
for the first time in a year.

This 98
is great

I was requested move out after this time for some reasons…
I did not say no. I was opened to try new things.
This is my new current home in Kreuzberg and I feel luck to live
here. Well connected, cool neighborhood and nice people.

It is bright
It causes my delight

The yellow corner is a school
garage where no one
actually parks ended up
being used by an
organization to serve people
with free meals and saved
food.

I started to come here since
The end of 2022 and help
out in any way that I could.
I spent most of my free time
here being with people and
It is always pleasure to be
there seeing people smiling
and talking with everyone.
I attended my first
Photography lesson here :)
